Chocolate chip cookie – an accidental discovery!

Now this is really interesting to note. It was 1930 when a baker Ruth Wakefield ran out of the baker’s chocolate. She chopped and mixed a piece of Nestle chocolate bar into her cookie dough.
She expected the chocolate to have melted and given a chocolaty color and taste. Instead, what turned out of the oven is what we all fancy for the chocolate chip cookies!

The idea of these cookies was later on sold to Nestle for a lifetime supply of chocolate chip cookies!
