Williams College and the Purple Cow
Cows are usually not associated with athletics, but this Williams College mascot was actually not chosen in relation to sports. It was inspired by the name of a humor magazine that used to be published at the school.
I wonder if purple cows (vanilla ice cream and grape soda floats) are served in the colleges concession stands.

The mascot’s name, Ephelia, is also quite interesting. I’ll bet there is a lot of cheering when this cow comes onto the field.
