A muddler is a pole like gadget that is usually made of wood and just looks like a fat ended magic want.

You use it to smash up fresh fruit in a pitcher or glass for really refreshing cocktails and juice mixers.
I love to muddle some fresh raspberries and then top with ice tea for a quick pick me up.
