You don’t normally think of places in Michigan as “beachy”. But Michigan beaches on the great lakes rival the coastal beaches in beauty and quality. And because the great lakes are freshwater there is no “stickiness” when you get out of the water.
Of all the beaches in Michigan, and there are many, South Haven is one of the most beautiful.

With a lighthouse at the end of a pier, beautiful white sand beaches that stay shallow for a long time, and a huge playground right off the beach, this unique mid-western town is a great place to visit and a great place to take kids.
The town itself is lovely with quaint shops and nice restaurants. And there is plenty to do.
